A mother's journey, fraught with pain, She faced adversity and loss. Twin babies, one she'd never gain, Her heart so heavy with its cost. She fought through sickness, fought through fear, Her body weakened by hypotension's hold. Yet she stood strong, persevered, For her precious child, so young and bold. A quadriplegic for 48 days, She faced her greatest trial yet. Her love for her child, a burning blaze, She refused to let it die or fret. Through two cancers, she did not sway, Her will to live and love so strong. And with each step, each day by day, Her spirit grew and thrived along. Today, she stands, a proud mommy, With two daughters by her side. Her story of triumph over adversity, A testament to love that cannot hide. Her journey was not an easy path, But with love, she overcame it all. From adversity to triumph, a mother's math, Her story, a story of hope that will stand tall.

I'll never forget the day my doctor told me I had a chronic illness. It was like all the air had been sucked out of the room and I could hardly breathe. As a parent, I could barely process what this meant for me, let alone how it would impact my family. But I quickly learned that parenting with a chronic illness is its own unique battle. It can be incredibly difficult to parent while managing daily life with a chronic illness. On some days, just getting out of bed and getting dressed is a major accomplishment. There's no time or energy left for cuddles and playtime with the kids, which can leave every family member feeling frustrated and exhausted. Managing medications, doctor’s appointments, and finding time to rest all while caring for children seems impossible at times. It's important to ask for help when needed — from family members, friends, or even your child’s school — so that you don't feel overwhelmed or guilty about not being able to do it all on your own. It’s no secret that being a working mother is one of the most challenging jobs in the world. With society’s expectation of women to “have it all,” it can be difficult to find the balance between work and family life. I know this firsthand; as a working mom, I often felt like I was constantly running on empty, trying to do it all. But after years of feeling burnt out and guilty for not doing enough, I finally found a way to achieve a work-life balance.  Here’s my journey from burnout to balance.  The Struggle Is Real  The struggle for working moms is real; with long hours at the office and pressures from both sides, it can be hard to find time for yourself or your family.
